For those who don't know, Selenium (http://www.openqa.org/
selenium/) is a web-application testing tool. This plugin
provides support to start the Selenium server component (AKA
Selenium RC http://www.openqa.org/selenium-rc) from Maven so that
surefire tests can use Selenium's remote API to test with.
This version of the plugin uses Selenium 0.8.1 as its stable and
works quite well. Once they release a stable 0.9.x we can update
the plugin to use that version, but at the moment 0.9 and 0.9.1-
SNAPSHOT cause problems.
Have you asked them if they would like to maintain the plugin? The
closer the plugin is to it's home the closer it will be to their
release cycle and thus kept up to date with Selenium's feature set.
No, but I can pass the idea by them and see what they have to say.
I have not been following Selenium dev very closely, not really sure
how active it is... maybe someone else knows.
