Ok, but there were definitely problems aside from that movement hack
- so do we need to nuke 2.1 from the repository?

I'm working on the cobertura side to fix the cobertura.ser

I have already commit'd a set of patches that correct this situation.
I'd love to get a SNAPSHOT repo up for cobertura, but there's very
little interest in that on the cobertura side. ;-/
I believe that the new cobertura codebase + rollback of the
cobertura.ser movement hack on the plugin side is the answer.

Hi Joakim,
I went to investigate this. The only change I could find relevant to
MCOBERTURA-57 was r2744 (though I'm guessing because they weren't
recorded in the comment logs). I rolled this back, but still had
problems. I was testing it on Proficio from Better Builds With Maven.
cobertura:check will pass after rolling it back - so that rev
definitely causes problems.
But I still get a lot of exceptions (which are now warnings
instead of
failures which I don't think should be the case: r2748), and the
reported % is always 10% (and branch coverage is N/A). The executed
lines show up with counts, but the missed ones are not shown as
anything. It looks like maybe the conversion to cobertura 1.8 has
some
problems itself.
How do you think we should progress?

I missed the vote against 2.1, I would have voted -1 just because
of the
above jira.
BTW, I field about 3 direct emails about cobertura-maven-plugin
2.1 a
day now. I recommend that to all people to downgrade to 2.0 for the
time being.
We can probably revert MCOBERTURA-57 and release 2.1.1 as a short
term fix.
The long term fix for MCOBERTURA-57 has recently been checked in
at the
cobertura (non-plugin) subversion at sourceforge.net

I'm seeing complaints that 2.1 doesn't work. Did all those that
voted
test it? Are these isolated incidents, or is there something
fundamentally wrong with the release?

Hi,
I would like to release the cobertura-maven-plugin: there have
been
few changes since the last release but those changes could be
really
useful to users, so I don't want to delay a release any further.
The list of changes is at:
