As mentioned above, this is used by a few plugins... and I'd like to
get this released, so I can release new alpha versions for these in
the next day or so:

I've got a few folks who keep asking for releases of the above, so
I'd like to squeeze out new releases for them really soon. I'll
probably start votes for them too, even though they currently are
using org.codehaus.mojo:plugin-support:1.0-alpha-1-SNAPSHOT... this
is the only pending SNAPSHOT, which should *hopefully* be released
soon pending the out come of this thread.
