Mauro Talevi closed MFIT-6.
---------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
No - the dependency on base FIT is intentional.
The problem with fitlibrary is that it's a quagmire from a classloader point of
view, as it opted to include it's own copy of fit in the jar without forking it
or changing the package.
> Consider supporting fitlibrary instead of the base fit utils

> Key: MFIT-6

> Project: Maven 2.x FIT Plugin
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Affects Versions: 2.0-beta-2
> Reporter: Espen Tjonneland
>
> I've had a thorough look at the maven 2 FIT plugin. The idea is great but it
> lacks some important aspects if it is to be adopted on a larger scale I
> believe.
> I've been working with http://fitlibrary.sourceforge.net/ which has a number
> of additional Fixture classes. Unfortunately it is not 100% compatible with
> the standard FIT framework. However it seems this project is alive and well
> albeit lacking a bit of structure.
> Supporting this library instead of the base FIT (http://fit.c2.com/) would
> most likely gain more users who are looking to integrate FIT with maven 2.
