Frederic Simon commented on MOJO-1061:
--------------------------------------
I did this modification also because rebuilding tags is a disaster without it.
Someone is taking care of this plugin, or it moved to maven apache?
> Buildnumber plugin improvement: relativeBaseDir, useLastChangedRevision

> I've added a couple new features to the buildnumber-maven-plugin, I've
> attached patched files here, which are based off the 1.0-beta-1 repository
> version.
> Basically, I've added the ability to generate a buildnumber that reflects the
> revision of a relative directory, so that if you have a multi-layered pom
> structure, with pom.xml's at several levels, you can make it so that the
> build number generated is standardized for all directories within the project.
> Also, I added a 'useLastChangedRevision' flag, so that it won't always just
> take the latest respository version. This prevents other check-ins on other
> projects or branches within a repository from affecting the buildnumber
> generated for the current project.
> I've attached my modified files (2 sources). And also a readme file which
> includes my example usage in my project.
