I think it's a good idea to indicate the version on the site to assure it
harmonizes with the latest release.
Documentation usually is backware compatible on minor releases - but not always.
The only way to really assure correct docos would be to deploy to
{artifactId}-{version} - but that would be a little to extreme and lead to a
lot of manual handling.
Sticking the version number in can't hurt.
