GWT 1.7 is on track to be released ( see
http://code.google.com/p/google-web-toolkit/source/browse/#svn/releases/1.7 and
http://code.google.com/p/google-web-toolkit/source/browse/releases/1.7/distro-source/core/src/release_notes.html
).
It only brings improvements related to browser support, so it should be safe to
support as a 1.6-like version.
