The use of the postinstall attribute will not (and certainly should not) cause
a build error. There are still integration tests which use some of the
deprecated configuration options.
Please run in debug (-X) and attach entire stack trace.
The scripts page you referenced only documents the new (non-deprecated)
configuration options. The documentation for the goal[1] shows all the
configuration options, and does show that postinstall is deprecated.
