I tried this and can confirm the problem.
The reason is that parsing the version fails, because the version is not in the
regular format. The plugin therefor tries to parse it as an OSGi version
instead.
I've added debug logging for this in r11883 and deployed a new 1.5-SNAPSHOT.
Perhaps someone with insights into the version format can give a reason why
this is happening?
