Hi Larry, I understand your patch but I can not reproduce the issue with the
version 2.2.2. When executing on a root pom, I get the following log and Clirr
is not executed :

[clirr:clirr {execution: default-cli}]
[INFO] Not generating Clirr report as there are no classes generated by the
project
