According to the [documentation (last two
paragraphs)|http://mojo.codehaus.org/versions-maven-plugin/examples/use-releases.html]
this parameters have to be set to 'false' explicitely - but there are no
default shown in the [mojo
reference|http://mojo.codehaus.org/versions-maven-plugin/use-releases-mojo.html].

mvn versions:use-releases -DprocessDependencies=false
