Hi,
this week Jesse Glick created MNETBEANSFREEFORM-22[1] with the suggestion to retire the Netbeans-freeform-maven-plugin[2] because there's no need for it anymore. Nowadays Netbeans has mature support for Maven. Also looking at the activity of issues on this project (the latest update was done june 12th 2008) it looks like Jesse is right. I've asked both Raphael and Milos for their opinion: Raphael: That plugin was made a long time ago when Milos hasn't yet created the support for maven in netbeans. Milos: this ant netbeans freeform generating plugin covers only very basic functionality and the netbeans own maven support is fairly superior. Considering this info I'd like to confirm that the mojo team agrees on retiring this project. The vote is open for 72 hours and will succeed by lazy consensus. Here's already my +1 Regards, - Robert ps. sorry for starting two votes on retiring mojo-projects within 24 hours... Ah well, just cleaning up and creating more room for those other projects :) [1] http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNETBEANSFREEFORM-22 [2] http://mojo.codehaus.org/netbeans-freeform-maven-plugin
