I grepped through the source for all Maven and Codehaus plugins, and I find no
where any log statements which output URLs. I do find both camps liberally
document why they are taking a particular action with a full
http://path/to/issue/ISSUE. So, perhaps that is what led to my impression of a
particular convention about putting well formed links around for people to
follow.
Anyway, I think it is just more professional to put an actual link to the thing
you are referencing. Especially since we are not honoring a configuration
request that the user has provided. If you disagree, or are just an IBM bigot,
please close the issue. The amount of time required to fix this has already
been far exceeded by each of our comments individually, let alone in
aggregate.. :-(
