I would like the display-dependency-updates and display-plugin-updates goals to
support an additional parameter _outputFile_. If this parameter is supplied,
the information about available updates would be written to the specified file,
not to the output stream.
The use case is that it would nicely integrate with CI jobs that display code
metrics and other project information without using the maven site mechanism.
I have attached patches for DisplayDependencyUpdatesMojo.java and
DisplayPluginUpdatesMojo.java
(Of course the next logical step would be to have one output file per reactor,
but I have not implemented that yet)
