I agree with Nicolas' point. Let's have a 1.0 (and avoid the alpha / beta soup)
and see what happens after that.
I believe there are a few people with ideas for a 'grander scheme' of how
JavaScript should be dealt with down the road, but we have to be pragmatic
about this. Let's get a first release out that meets some user's needs, and
then all parties involved can agree on a future.
I just get concerned sometimes that the idea of a brighter future sometimes
puts off reasonable work in the now.
