The Chronos plugin was donated to the sandbox 3 years ago. After having been
dormant for a period, development is now resumed and the plugin have been
fairly active for the last 6 months.
Also interest from the outside seem to have increased considerably this year.

Based on feedback on this mailing list, Chronos has recently been separated
into 2 plugins with the following features:

chronos-jmeter-maven-plugin: Invoke JMeter or parse the result of an already
executed performancetest. Save historic data to allow analyzing long-time
trends. Check that performance goals have been met.
chronos-report-maven-plugin: Create reports of latest or historical
performancetests.

The website contains a few sample projects showing typical usages. Information
is shared between the 2 plugins by saving results in xml format.
The vision is later to extend chronos with support for other performance
testing tools (grinder?)

I believe now is the time to promote the plugin from the sandbox. Since the
code should be in a pretty stable state, I expect to head immediately for a
beta release (by a separate vote), and then hopefully a final 1.0 release
before the end of the year.

Here is my +1

The vote wil be open 72 hours from now and pass by lazy consensus.

Kind regards,
Kent
