The appassembler-maven-plugin is already a production-plugin, so IMO you can go 
for version 1.2Please read the "performing a release"-page[1]You'll see that 
mojo has its own Nexus where plugins will be staged first.From Nexus it can be 
dropped or released to Maven Central -Robert [1]
