Using the pom.xml given above, I see that all of the following update all dependencies in the pom.xml, not just the log4j one: mvn versions:use-latest-versions "-DincludesList=*:log4j" mvn versions:use-latest-versions "-DincludesList=*:log4j:*:*" mvn versions:use-latest-versions "-DincludesList=*:log4j:*:*:*"
