I just noticed that the continuous rebuilds stop when I disable 'Refresh using native hooks or polling' (in Windows -> Preferences under General -> Workspace), and start again when I enable that option again.
Also, is there a way to trace/debug Eclipse, so that I can figure out what ultimately triggers this rebuild, i.e., find out which resource Eclipse thinks has changed?
