I've noticed your patches and I think the rpm plugin would need some
nursing. But I'm not sure what "dev application" you're referring to - have
I missed some mail?

Not that I'm aware of. Here at mojo it's fairly relaxed IMHO, so each
developer decides what he/she thinks is best for the plugin. Going with a
Maven 2.2.1 and JDK 1.5 requirement should be no problems. Having a
requirement of Maven 3.0.x should only be made due to good reasons as (too)
many are still on Maven 2.
