Yes maybe it would be better to have this as a default behavior in the future, as the security guidelines for webstart will enforce you to sign all artifacts using the same key for the whole application. In this case signatures that were inside the jar's will only cause us extra trouble.
Good to hear that this option has fixed the issue, I'm currently also upgrading to the latest version of the plugin (got stuck with a patched version of alpha-2 to use it with native libraries)
