We can certainly let the parameters of the plugin use the newer/non-deprecated syntax;
that is a decently small thing.

However, when it comes to straightening out the internals of the M-A-P (things like
using File arguments instead of Strings to define paths and directories, and complying
with current plugin development best practises, for example) I would like to wait for
the 2.0 release with those general modernizations.
