The issue being, no provision in SONAR to configure the custom Mandatory fields defined in JIRA database. The only solution that SONAR suggests is to create new issue type in JIRA and make all those fields as optional fields. Below are the custom fields defined in our JIRA database and not able to configure in the SONAR. We need to make these as optional fields with new Issue Type in JIRA. customfield_10291=Product is required., customfield_10040=Defect Symptom is required., environment=Environment is required., customfield_10331=Phase Detected is required., customfield_10041=Reproducible is required., customfield_10090=Severity is required. I am using sonar-jira-plugin-1.2.jar and I don’t see any new version with the way to enter custom fields via sonar dashboard. When is the new version of plugin expected to release? Also is there any way apart from creating new issue type in JIRA to make the mandory fields as optional. I can't go with creating new Issue type as my project requires these mandatory fields to be logged into JIRA and the Issue type 'Task' has limited status to update and does not support the dev, btc, s/w request workflow.
