"Someone" should probably file ticket on this to the jaxb ri project... We should use javax.xml.bind:jaxp-api:2.2.11 or 2.2.12. Add Comment   Mojo's JAXB-2 Maven Plugin / MJAXB-100 Update xjc to 2.2.11 Current 2.2.7 is used that generates incomaptible Javadoc with -Xdoclint:all (see https://java.net/jira/browse/JAXB-973). It is fixed in 2.2.11.
