Hi all, Thank you for adding me as a PMC member and committer. I live in Southampton UK and work as an architect for Cloudera. Prior to this I was at BAE Systems Detica for 5 years, 2 of these I was working with Hadoop.
I first came across MRUnit in early 2011 when working for the US government. Their Hadoop cluster was so swamped I would wait hours just to test my MapReduce jobs, so finding MRUnit was a life (and time) saver. Being able to unit test code is an important part of any project and as Hadoop adoption reaches further into the enterprise the need for MRUnit will become even more prevalent.
