Jarcec,

Thank you for your response.

I have reviewed, tested, and +1'd https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MRUNIT-224. https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MRUNIT-217 is a patch that I submitted so, I would imagine that someone else needs to +1 it.

I'm not familiar with DOAP so I am doing some research on it before I comment on https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MRUNIT-206.

Thanks,

Hi Ryan,
I’m glad to see your interest in MRUnit and the openness to take the
maintenance burden going forward.

Might I suggest to start by reviewing the three patches and +1 them on the
JIRAs when they will be ready to be committed? That will help the existing
committers to get them accepted sooner rather then later and will also give you
community credit that will be needed if you indeed want to take the maintenance
burden.

I do not think that this project should be shuttered just yet.

Currently there are 35 issues that are either Open, In Progress, or
Reopened.

3 of them currently have patches submitted that have not been merged.
Those are:

MRUNIT-224
MRUNIT-217
MRUNIT-206

With all due respect, it seems that the current group of maintainers have
simply lost interest in this project and are not keeping it up to date with
the issues that have been submitted. Which is completely understandable
and part of the lifecycle of a project as people move on to other things.

I think that there is still interest in this project and that people are
still using it.

I would be willing to step up to the plate and take over maintenance of
this project to see it stay current.
