One particular area that the MyFaces developers can help out in, and I imagine you'll be interested in it as well :-), is ensuring that Shale works well with the MyFaces JSF implementation. It *should* be as
Yes, that is important for us too. I tested an older version of Shale against MyFaces, and it worked fine!
I'll give the new binary and build versions of Shale also a try next week.

easy as configuring your "jsf-api.jar" and "jsf-impl.jar" properties to point at the corresponding MyFaces jars instead, and the build scripts should do things like add the servlet context listener in web.xml automatically. If that doesn't work, it's a bug in the build process that should be fixed.
I run this on occasion, but do most of my development with the RI (since that is what I use all the time in my day job).

Hi Craig,
I just noticed that you changed the dialog stuff in Shale, like you suggested a time before.
Also I saw that the DialogController clazz is now deprecated.
So, can you publish a new version of the JavaDoc of Shale? That would be nice ;)
Please give some description of the change(s) and its direction. I have part of my working code based on DialogController and ViewController.
Questions about Shale are better asked on the Struts lists, since it's a Struts subproject. ;-) However, here's the primary checkin notice for the recent changes:
