Hi All,
I was really impressed with the ICEfaces demo at JavaOne and since it
worked on the RI I wanted to check it out with MyFaces. Turns out
they have a dependency on an RI Class. I've let them know about the
problem and they are very interested in making their stuff work on
MyFaces. I've invited them to send someone our way and subscribe to
the dev list. I'm signing up to be the helper for them so hopefully
it wont impact other work.
I'll keep you informed of progress, but my hope is that most of the
discussion will happen on the dev list. My feeling is that once they
get rid of dependencies on the RI classes and use the extension stuff
built into JSF that things will just work.
Anyway just wanted to give everyone a heads up.
And I totally agree with Manfred, J1 was very successful for MyFaces :-)
