Restrict Selection of Certain Dates in inputCalendar

I would like to have the ability to restrict the selection of certain dates in
the inputCalendar component. This could be accomplished by displaying certain
dates using links and others using regular (non-selectable) text. Examples
could include:
1. Allowing only present or future dates to be selected
2. Allowing only weekdays to be selected
3. Allowing only business days to be selected
In the most general case, I would guess some type of pattern or rule could be
specified or referenced, indicating the selectable days. I'd be willing to
collaborate with someone to help make this happen. I don't know if there's
someone out there with a good handle on generalize date patterns....?
