What about a "petstore" or "mail reader" type application? I certainly don't have any objection to showcasing the components working together. Lets just try to do it in a way that makes sense and helps the user.
Before we had the one set of examples which used jscookmenu and panelNavigation. That was fine to show off that aspect of MyFaces but if you wanted to see a simple example of how a calendar worked, it was a lot of extra code to sort through. Plus adding new examples was a little more time consuming/confusing. The simple examples I think we have now are just fine. IMO the existing style is sufficient but that is just MO. If we wanted to make an example app that showcased how these components worked together, that would be great. The problem I had with the two sets of examples before was that they were the same except one was just stuffed inside jscookmenu. That made it hard to maintain and confusing. A more complex example would be useful as long as it didn't imply (or seemed to imply) that every component would be represented (like we had before.) Those are just a few thoughts on this. I'm open to compromise of course. I take it there is no problem/objection to the simple examples as they stand now right? We're just looking at adding another set? sean On 7/30/05, Martin Marinschek <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > right, clear, the examples I had in mind were applications using MyFaces > anyway - they shouldn't wander into the codebase of MyFaces. > > regards, > > Martin > > > On 7/30/05, Grant Smith <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > I wasn't suggesting a new *set* of examples.
