Invalid rederer under RI

I've put the latest tomahawk.jar file in my web applications WEB-INF/lib
directory and added the reference to the head of my JSP:
<%@ taglib uri="http://myfaces.apache.org/tomahawk"; prefix="t"%>
No matter what Tomahawk input tag I try, I always get an exception of the form:
Exception: Renderer of type "org.apache.myfaces.Date" is not supported for
family javax.faces.Input
I've tried invalid tags like <t:flub/> to verify that it is parsing the taglib
properly. I get the expected "tag not defined" type of error for this.
