I checked my application. It return a correct Tree with correct isLiaf() 
method. 
Node [0:0] have isLeaf() == false
But I'm still getting exception: 
Encountered a node [0:0] + with an illogical state. Node is expanded but it is 
also considered a leaf (a leaf cannot be considered expanded. 
It seems problem is in MyFaces
