Hmmm...

I don't see what the problem is here - if I understand you right, you talk 
about the code that changes the visibility to hidden for all comboBoxes lying 
under a popup. 

That is good as it is, as the IE would else show the combo-box through the 
popup. I know that this is only a hack, but it is the only hack which fixes 
this behaviour of the IE.
