First, despite any other announcements you may have seen, we cannot
refer to the Oracle ADF donation as "Cherokee". There are other
software products called Cherokee, and we don't want to go there. So,
unless or until another name is selected, we should continue to refer
to this codebase as the "ADF donation".

Right now, we're waiting for the software grant paperwork to go on
file with the ASF. Once that happens, we can process the donation
using the new IP Clearance procedure that we are now using with
Tobago.

We just need to file a checklist with the incubator website. Once a
snapshot of the code is posted, and all the other action items are
checked-off, we can bring the donations directly into the MyFaces
repository. The codebase will then be part of the MyFaces project, and
share our existing resources, including the repository, website,
mailing lists, and issue tracker.

Under the IP Clearance protocol, any new committers would earn his or
her karma in the usual way: by participating in the list and posting
patches, until the PMC feels an individual has made a substantial and
sustained contribution to MyFaces.
