Yes, at least at this point in time, some of my clients are restricted to 1.4, so if the 1.5 stuff isn't necessary, I'd rather see it changed to 1.4 semantics. I'd say our policy should be 1.4 when possible. When we move up to JSF 1.2, then we can raise it to 1.5. At this point, any add-ons requiring 1.5 should be clearly documented as such.
