That's a bug if it's the case.

Our current nightly builds should be such that no tomahawk or sandbox
component have any build dependencies on the MyFaces implementation.

The needed utility classes are included as part of Tomahawk.

Again, if the focus component does not run on the JSF RI, please open
a JIRA issue.   If possible identify any dependencies on the MyFaces
impl that need to be reworked.
