Application hangs / crashes when browser window is resized to a small window
and an action is exectued

Inside a browser I have a view with many components on it. I am resizing the
browser window so that the components are packed tightly together. After that I
execute an action which is calling a method in the controller. The view shows
the progress image and the application doesn't return to the normal view even
after the method call in the controller is completed. The browser doesn't
respond after it. If you close the browser the application (java process) is
still running on a high load and doesn't finishes (loop).
