Trinidad does include performance improvements for table. I'm not
sure what you mean by "loads the parent page prior to showing the
dialog"; I suspect that you didn't set partialSubmit="true" on a button
that launches a dialog.

The latest versions of Tomahawk are ready to go, with Trinidad. I am
not sure on how easy it is to integrate the mentioned Sandbox
components. Perhaps you can play around with these components.
Also, Trinidad does include Ajax support (update of tables, for example).
No inputSuggest, though. (FWIW, the current code is Ajax-ish,
not true Ajax, since it uses IFRAMEs instead of XMLHttp, but code to
switch that over to true Ajax will be landing very soon, just after the
1.0.1 release.)
