I suspect that there is more interest in JSF 1.2 and JEE 5 than the
lack of votes for this maven plugin might imply. It's very
convenient to have all the JSF components already provided by the
container, and resource injection for managed beans is useful as
well. There has been some user feedback about JSF integration on the
geronimo mailing lists (they especially notice when something is
broken :-) and I think the official release of MyFaces 1.2 will be
very well received.

to be honest, JavaEE 5 isn't really wide adopted, yet. And in most
cases, MyFaces1.1.x + Facelets + Spring just work fine. Jetty/Tomcat
is enough :)
