Commandlink hidden inputs do not clear in IE 7 with target = blank

The Commandlink tag when used with target =_blank is not clearing hidden inputs
on the original window properly in IE 7. It is working in Firefox, though. The
hidden inputs remain set in the original window. This is an issue if a
different submit is done on the original window. It will include the hidden
parameters which can cause the commandlink action to fire again even though the
commandlink was not clicked.
