We discovered another Autocomplete Problem:
Our site uses HTTPS and there it still didn't work most of the
time; but when we used HTTP it did work!
A colleague discovered an article on the web which brought
us on the right track: http://www.res-arkana.com/wiki/ie_autocomplete.doc
We used the following meta tags to control caching:
<meta http-equiv="pragma" content="no-cache">
<meta http-equiv="cache-control" content="no-cache"> <meta
http-equiv="expires" content="0">
After removing the first meta-tag (as suggestend in the article)
it worked with HTTPS and IE6 and IE7!
