Class attribute not rendered for input fields

For input and textarea fields no attribute classes are rendered when the
shale-* libraries are in WEB-INF/lib.
E.g. if there is a tag like
<tx:in id="username" label="Benutzername" tabIndex="1"
value="#{sessionBean.username}" required="true" />
the rendered code would look like this
<input type="text" name="page:username" id="page:username" value="" class=""
tabindex="1">
or even
<input type="text" name="page:username" id="page:username" value=""
tabindex="1">
