Unfortunately the limitation of the existing implementation is that the
chart component is entirely generated on the client. In IE if you are using
the old adobe svg plugin, it provides you a right mouse click option "copy
svg" to copy the generated image to the clipboard. You can then open a new
svg file and paste the output to this file. You would then need an image
editing software(adobe illustrator?) to export it to other formats.

I do not think a similar option exists in the Firefox. Same with Safari.
However in Safari, there is an option to just print the chart.

One option worth investigating is to provide a mechanism to take the final
svg output on the client and exporting it to a new page via server.
