For the non-popup calendar style (these really should be two different 
components), I think displayValueOnly should still display a full calendar, but 
with no clickable parts. Or maybe even allow moving around the calendar 
(next/prev month etc), just not allow modifying the "selected date".

Having just the text can be simply created by not rendering it, and rendering 
an outputText instead.
