Why would hint="tabs" be of any value on a panelTabbed?
The skinning selectors of panelTabbed possibly need to be enhanced, but I don't
see what is wrong with that component. Could you be more explicit on short
comings of panelTabbed that you would like to see addressed?
What are the "other work-arounds" that you mention.
I am personally using panelTabbed just fine with my custom skin (the default
skin was darned ugly).
