Clicking the active tab screws up the lay-out inside it

When the currently active tab is clicked, the UI-tree seems to get scrambled.
This can cause ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsExceptions when using cells that have spanX
set to >1 (probably with spanY as well, but I have no such case). Switching to
another tab and then back again seems to reset the tree and make all elements
return to their original location.
