Hi Matthias,

Not much of experience from the developer point of view. However, we use 
jTrac which is based on Wicket
and it makes quite a good impression regarding performance (feels more 
like a simple DHTML application).
Perhaps you might want to take a look at their implementation.

I wonder if some of you have actually real (real world) experience with 
Wicket ?
If you do, I'd be interested in hearing them, if you like to share.
Interesting here
as well is a kinda comparison to the framework we love, JSF.
