Michael Freedman commented on PORTLETBRIDGE-98:
-----------------------------------------------
I don't understand why you consider the bridge at fault here (or what the
bridge can do to avoid the problem). If I understand correctly you are saying
that there are problems with running 1.1 ExternalContext extensions (with the
bridge) because the 1.1 impls don't implement the 1.2 methods and this prevents
the bridge's impl from having these methods called, right? Can you clarify
what/how the bridge can do something about this? Or am I completely
misunderstanding the problem?
> Wrapper for ExternalContext that only implements jsf 1.1methods does not work
> in portlet case

> See MYFACES-2383. Since portlet bridge implements its own ExternalContext
> implementation overriding the original FacesContextFactory implementation, if
> some user library wrap ExternalContext and does not implement methods
> introduced in jsf 1.2, it will fail.
