hello, today milestone 2 of myfaces extensions validator v1.2.3 was deployed to the snapshot-repository [1]. in comparison to milestone 1, the bean-validation integration module was activated [2]. furthermore, some nice new features are available as well.
the new validation module allows to use jsr 303 with all jsf versions. jsf 2.0 supports jsr 303 out of the box. anyway, extval offers advanced features beyond the standard integration (e.g. model-validation, severity aware validation and much more!). moreover, the new integration module offers some great features which are already known from the existing infrastructure of extval. one of these features is constraint based client-side validation in combination with myfaces trinidad. it’s demonstrated at [3]. within the next weeks there will be more documentation and examples available! further news will be published at [4]. regards, gerhard [1] http://people.apache.org/repo/m2-snapshot-repository/org/apache/myfaces/extensions/validator/ [2] http://people.apache.org/repo/m2-snapshot-repository/org/apache/myfaces/extensions/validator/validation-modules/myfaces-extval-bean-validation/ [3] http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/myfaces/extensions/validator/trunk/examples/feature-set_02/ [4] http://os890.blogspot.com/ http://www.irian.at Your JSF powerhouse - JSF Consulting, Development and Courses in English and German Professional Support for Apache MyFaces
