Hi Mark,

The problem is that other projects' trunks (like e.g. Orchestra) run on
shared 2.0.x (which is shared-trunk). I know it's a bit confusing at first,
but there are svn folders which help you to map the right trunks together
(via svn:externals), like current20 for JSF 2.0 and current12 for JSF 1.2.

So in theory it would be possible, of course, but I don't think it is a good
idea, because it may confuse a lot of people who are working on other
subprojects (like portlet-bridge, orchestra, tomahawk, ...).
